Bolingbrook, IL - March 27th, 2002

AbilityOne Corporation announced today the acquisition of Smith & Nephew Rehabilitation, a division of U.K. based Smith & Nephew. Effective immediately, this division will return to its original and highly recognized name - Rolyan.

Chris O'Donnell, Chief Executive of Smith & Nephew, said “We believe substantial value can be created by the enlarged AbilityOne and will retain a 21.5% interest in it. The combined business will be a market leader, able to offer a strong portfolio of products and considerable distribution strength."

"Our combined organization offers a sustainable growth platform for the manufacturers whose products we distribute, as well as for our own proprietary brands,” said Howie Schwartz, Chief Executive of AbilityOne Corporation.
