JB Cherry

Senior Managing Director

J.B. Cherry joined OEP in 2003 and is a Senior Managing Director based in Chicago and a member of the Investment Committee and Valuation Committee. During his tenure at OEP, Mr. Cherry worked on numerous investments as part of OEP’s Industrials Practice. Mr. Cherry is a member of the Board of Directors of Wood Technologies International and OMNI Environmental Solutions. Mr. Cherry’s prior investment experience includes Intren, ePAK, Resolute Industrial, Anvil International, Grupo Phoenix, LBC, Progress Rail, Columbian Chemicals, Faurecia (EMCON) and Chemlogics, among other companies.  

Prior to joining OEP, Mr. Cherry worked at Bank One Ventures evaluating strategic technology investments for Bank One Corporation. Mr. Cherry received his M.B.A. from Northwestern’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Business and his B.A. in Public Policy Studies from Duke University.
